Dr. Tanya Scotece, Ph.D., LFD, CFSP, known as "Dr. T" in student circles, is a seasoned leader in the field of funeral service and bereavement support. With a rich background spanning over two decades, Dr. Scotece has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to compassionate care and innovative solutions within the funeral industry.

Her journey began with a strong educational foundation, culminating in a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Adult Education. This extensive academic training formed the bedrock of her facilitation and presentation expertise. Currently, Dr. T is a sought-after educator and mentor, having been appointed as Program Coordinator for Funeral Service Education in January 2023 and serving as faculty at Miami Dade College, where she imparts her knowledge and passion for the field to the next generation of funeral service professionals. Through her engaging teaching style and commitment to lifelong learning, she inspires others to uphold the values of compassion, empathy, and excellence in their own practice.
