Elizabeth Anne Wood
Educator, Death Doula, Writer
Elizabeth Anne Wood is a Professor of Sociology in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Nassau Community College. She earned her Ph.D. in Sociology at Brandeis University.

She is also a NEDA-Proficient End-of-Life Doula, having completed the University of Vermont's End of Life Doula certificate program and Going With Grace's End of Life Doula intensive training retreat. She has volunteered with Jamaica Hospital and Medical Center's Palliative Care and Inpatient Hospice teams, provided coaching to other doulas, and worked with clients in the community.

Elizabeth is the author of Bound: A Daughter, a Domme, and an End-of-Life Story (She Writes Press, 2019), and co-editor of Between Us: Healing Ourselves and Changing the World Through Sociology (University of Chicago Press, 2024).
