Alix melamed

Alix Melamed worked as a licensed NY Funeral Director for over 10 years. Prior to becoming a Funeral Director, Alix attended Bates College in Maine where she received a BA in Sociology. Upon returning to New York, Alix completed a degree in Mortuary Science from the American Academy McAllister.

After graduation, she worked for various Dignity Memorial-owned and operated funeral homes in New York City and Long Island. She worked for over 5 years at Sinai Chapels in Queens and concluded her career in the funeral industry as a manager at the Lombardo Funeral Home in Buffalo, NY.

​

 

In 2022, Alix left the industry and worked for the tissue processor, RTI Surgical, as the Program Coordinator for Donor Services. She currently resides in Gainesville, FL and works in the administration for the University of Florida.
